VAEX Group makes frequent long-distance hauls to countries in East Europe. Some years ago the company decided to establish its own livestock rest area in the south of Hungary. Anhoka, an EU accredited livestock rest area, became operational in September 2009.

The rest area is in Kiskorpad which is a small village some 10 km west of Kaposvar in the south of Hungary. It is an
excellent logistics location for transports to southern Balkan countries and such countries as Rumania where the bulk of pigs go from West Europe. The latest rest area stable fittings allow the animals to rest separately per truck.
Anhoka provides livestock rest and feed facilities for a 24-hour period. EU transport directives require that operators schedule a rest period for long-distance transports from West to East Europe that take longer than one day. Anhoka rest area is ideally situated. This way VAEX assures livestock quality and health.
All transport companies are welcome to use the Anhoka facilities.
